Why we are called Danu Products
The logo of Danu Products confidently states Irish Goddess Bathing experience. Danu is the most ancient of the Celtic Gods. She was referred to as the mother of the Irish Gods, which indicates that she was a Mother Goddess.
The Tuatha Dé Danann meaning "the folk of the goddess Danu", also known by the earlier name Tuath Dé ("tribe of the gods"), are a supernatural race in Irish mythology. They are thought to represent the main deities of pre-Christian Ireland. Danu was clearly a very powerful and fundamental earth goddess from which all, power, wisdom, and fecundity of the land poured forth. She was a wisdom goddess of inspiration and intellect. As the creator I believe that the ethos of sustainability and everything is represented by Danu Products merge together beautifully. You will see that several packages are also named after God's and Goddess's of Ireland.

The term "sustainable beauty" is used a lot by companies and certainly is trending on social media platforms. Danu has deliberately designed products that are more elegant & aesthetically pleasing through the product itself and also through presentation & packaging of the products. All of Danu's products contain essential oils. These may be used simply and effectively at home for their cosmetic and medicinal qualities. Skin care products containing essential oils must be used along side a nourishing oil. Danu Products all contain the same oil - Apricot Kernel Oil. Chosen as it is known as one of the more nourishing oils and also not nut based.
What products Danu offers
Currently Danu offers four different products. Within each product there are six variations of mixed essential oils. The products available are bath bars (moving away from the traditional bomb, offering a more sophisticated finished product), bath salts, body sugar scrubs & body salt scrubs. Long term Danu Products plan to expand their range of products and also variations of the already available products.
Danu's achievements so far
Danu Products was awarded a grant from Women In Business (Northern Ireland) "Yes You Can" initiative. After achieving first place across 2 major council areas - Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon and Newry & Mourne.
I was also nominated for a Women In Business Award "Person of Purpose" in 2021. This category highlighted a person who had demonstrated how resilience, determination and passion can make a difference in people's lives.
Danu was mentioned by The Institute of Health Sciences in their Ultimate Wellness Gift Guide in December 2020.
Danu Products have also been tested & meet the current criteria for safety specified by the requirements of Article 3 of Regulation No 1223/2009.
